Content ranges from early modern literature to up-to-date news multimedia. A survey of a range of select themes central to French and francophone culture today will be explored. All assignments, exams, readings, and expectations will be discussed in detail further in class. IDEA Learning objectives: to improve expression of oneself in writing and orally in the French language and to further appreciation of and knowledge of French and francophone cultures. To learn vocabulary and technical terms. Disabilities: Reasonable accommodation will be provided for all persons with disabilities. Contact the instructor or the DRC (435-797-2444) Plagiarism: includes knowingly “representing…the work of another person as one’s own …without full and clear acknowledgment. It also includes the unacknowledged used of materials prepared by another person…” Penalties for plagiarism are severe. Tutors/friends/family may help you with homework (but you may not copy off another student), online dictionary and MSWord spell/grammar check are ok, but you may not use translation programs and nobody may write for you or give input on take-home final.
